TL;DR - a talk about a lesser known esoteric Java API.
Adding a language feature often culminates in some less than ideal library with weird non-Java-esque syntax.
The more proper route for implementing such features is to implement them in the JDK itself. Which while elegant, is time consuming.
Java 8 however, (quietly) introduced an API that allows the dev to plug her 'library' into the compilation cycle, allowing for elegant syntax, and short development cycles.
This talk is about the author's experiences with said API, hopefully serving as a gentle intro to an interesting subject.
