At some point, you decide to divide your system into several microservices. Or you connect to the external SaaS. Then the business process begins to go outside the system. But, at least on paper, not much is happening. You are calling external APIs as if you were calling code on your system. Unit tests pass. So, go ahead with deploying to production!
